"This week’s Golden Bear goes to a student who is incredibly kind, helpful, and smart. He is ready to lead both in, and out of the classroom. This student is both funny and insightful and understands what it means to be a Bearhawk. He is always focused, whether working on his own, or in groups, and truly understands the dynamics of his classes. We are proud to award this Golden Bear to Benjamin Stout!"

2024-25 Golden Bear Award Recipients
Isaac Bear Early College High School presents a student from the underclass with a "Golden Bear" award each week. This award is given in recognition of outstanding leadership, achievement, and/or initiative. Recipients of this award have demonstrated any or all of the aforementioned qualities and have been exemplary members of our Learning community.
"It is the sophomore team's pleasure to present this week's Golden Bear to a student who consistently asks thoughtful questions and actively participates in every class. Her insightful comments push discussions further, benefiting both her peers and the learning environment. Even when absent, she ensures all her work is completed, showing dedication and responsibility. Beyond the classroom, she’s a leader, involved in various clubs, and has impressively taken the initiative to start and lead Mock Trial this year, making her a true asset to our school community. It is an honor to recognize Annabeth Holmes as this week's Golden Bear!"
"This week's Golden Bear goes to a freshman who is more than deserving. This student is loyal to their friends, helpful to their peers, and kind to all of their teachers. This student is an incredibly hard worker and does not hesitate to advocate for themselves. The teachers are excited to see this student opening up and stepping into more leadership positions as the year continues, and can't wait to see where this student will go next. They are more than qualified to be a Bearhawk, and more than qualified to receive this Golden Bear award. This week's Golden Bear goes to Guadalupe Garcia Hernandez!"
